Righe si, o righe no? Almeno una volta nella vita, tutte noi ci siamo poste la domanda, davanti alla scelta di provare un capo a righe. Questo perché la riga può nascondere qualche “insidia” nascosta, ma basta sceglierla e abbinarla nel modo giusto per renderla speciale e perfetta! Io la adoro!
Stripes yes, or no? At least once in a lifetime, we all asked ourselves the question, before choosing to try a striped garment. This is because the line can hide some hidden “pitfall”, but just choose it and match it in the right way to make it special and perfect! I love it!
E’ risaputo che se abbiamo forme generose è meglio optare per la riga verticale, e mai per quella orizzontale che allarga. Che se la riga è di spessore meglio utilizzare pantaloni svasati o palazzo, e mai aderenti: provate ad immaginare delle gambe non propriamente perfette con indosso un paio di pantaloni fit slim a riche verticali … le righe invece che esaltare le forme metterebbero solo in evidenza il difetto.
Negli anni ’20, grazie a Coco Chanel, la riga divenne la protagonista dello stile “cruise”, nei suoi colori top bianco e blu. Da allora è stata declinata in moltissime versioni, utilizzata sia in estate che in inverno, bicolore o multicolore. Non esiste un solo stilista che non l’abbia scelta come protagonista delle sue collezioni. Utilizzata in differenti varianti, classica blu/bianco o rosso/bianco, oppure multicolore per un effetto giocoso e divertente, la riga stupisce sempre!
It is well known that if we have generous forms it is better to opt for the vertical stripes, and never for the horizontal stripes that widens. What if the line is thick better to use flared or palace pants, and never fitting: try to imagine the legs are not exactly perfect wearing a pair of slim fit pants with vertical stripes … the lines instead of enhancing the forms would only highlight the defect. In the 1920s, thanks to Coco Chanel, the line became the protagonist of the “cruise” style, in its white and blue top colors. Since then it has been declined in many versions, used both in summer and in winter, two-tone or multicolored. There is not just one designer who has not chosen her as the protagonist of her collections. Used in different variations, classic blue / white or red / white, or multicolored for a playful and fun effect, the line always amazes!
Anche per le Collezioni Primavera Estate 2018 presentate nella settimana della moda, la riga è stata declinata sia in una nuova forma “millennial”, sia nel suo stile più classico, utilizzata per capi dalle linee moderne e grintose che le conferiscono una nuova luce. Prepariamoci quindi quest’estate ad avere almeno un capo a righe nel guardaroba!
Also for the 2018 Spring Summer Collections presented in the fashion week, the stripe has been declined both in a new “millennial” shape, and in its more classic style, used for garments with modern and gritty lines that give it a new light. So let’s get ready this summer to have at least one striped garment in the wardrobe!
COME ABBINARLE – consiglio di stile
Per mio gusto personale preferisco abbinare un capo a righe con un altro a tinta unita, che richiami uno dei colori. Indossare righe dalla testa ai piedi è un po’ troppo ridondante! A meno che non si tratti di un tailleur pantalone a righe sottili, chic ed elegante in cotone o puro lino. Le camicie stile “sdraio” sono bellissime se dall’effetto schiarito dal sole su tela di lino o cotone egiziano. Le t-shirt a righe bicolore bianche e blu fanno molto stile marinaro, e sono perfette abbinate con un pantalone chino bianco e una giacca blu navy con bottoni d’oro lavorati. Gli abiti, in cotone leggero o misto lino possono variare in tutte le possibili declinazioni, multicolore o bicolore, diventando un capo perfetto sia per il giorno che per la sera, se arricchito da inserti lurex o in seta.
HOW TO COMBINE – style advice
For my personal taste I prefer to combine a striped garment with another solid color, which recalls one of the colors. Wearing lines from head to toe is a little too redundant! Unless it is a thin striped suit, chic and elegant in cotton or pure linen. The “deck” style shirts are beautiful if they have a sun-bleached effect on linen or Egyptian cotton. The blue and white two-tone striped t-shirts are very nautical, and are perfect matched with a white chino trousers and navy blue jacket with worked gold buttons. The clothes, in light cotton or linen blend can vary in all possible variations, multicolored or two-colored, becoming a perfect garment for both day and evening, if enriched with lurex or silk inserts.
