Se dovessi scegliere tra tutte le tecniche artistiche che conosco, la mia preferita in assoluto resta e rimarrà sempre quella del bianco e nero. Trovo che tutto sia più pulito, cristallizzato in un momento che rimarrà per sempre immacolato. Come nella fotografia. Adoro le foto in bianco enero, le trovo eleganti, di quell’eleganza che non urla e non è ostentata … fateci caso, una foto ritratto in bianco e nero è sicuramente più poetica e sensuale, quasi affascinante nella sua purezza, rispetto al ridondare dei colori.

Esistono fotografi o artisti che si dedicano quasi esclusivamente alla pittura/fotografia in bianco e nero, e ci sono mostre che dedicano spazi a lavori e progetti di questo genere. Tutto è catturato dal momento, il nostro sguardo è incentrato sul soggetto, per nulla “disturbato” dai colori. I ritratti sono quelli che preferisco perchè mi piace soffermarmi ad immaginare chi ci sia dietro quello sguardo, quel viso, quell’espressione, cosa nascondano quelle rughe, quei sorrisi o la stanchezza di mani che magari hanno lavorato una vita intera.
There are photographers or artists who dedicate themselves almost exclusively to black and white painting / photography, and there are exhibitions that dedicate space to works and projects of this kind. Everything is captured by the moment, our gaze is focused on the subject, not at all “disturbed” by the colors. The portraits are the ones I prefer because I like to stop and imagine who is behind that look, that face, that expression, what those wrinkles, those smiles or the tired hands that maybe have worked a whole life hide.
Mi sono cimentata spesso con questa tecnica, che sembra molto semplice, visto che si usano solo pochi elementi, una matita o un pastello nero, un tratto pen o un pennarello nero, anche una semplice Bic nera! Ma in realtà proprio per la sua semplicità a volte può essere più complessa, perchè bisogna porre molta attenzione ai particolari che devono essere messi in primo piano.
I have often experimented with this technique, which seems very simple, since only a few elements are used, a pencil or a black crayon, a pen stroke or a black marker, even a simple black Bic! But in reality, precisely because of its simplicity, it can sometimes be more complex, because you have to pay close attention to the details that must be put in the foreground.
Naturalmente anche a me piacciono i colori, non preoccupatevi! 🙂
