Ho sempre amato dipingere, e la tecnica che ho sentito subito mia è stata quella dell’acquarello. Forse perchè rispecchia molto il mio carattere: delicato e dolce, ma nello stesso tempo incisivo. Rispetto alla pittura ad olio che ho usato per diversi soggetti, la tecnica ad acquarello è immediata e non da possibilità di errore ( il colore ad olio ci mette parecchi giorni ad asciugare e questo permette di poter intervenire sulla tela più volte, in momenti diversi. L’acquarello essendo, lo dice la parola stessa, essenzialmente formato da acqua, si asciuga immediatamente, perciò bisogna avere le idee ben chiare e la mano ferma!). Generalmente amo ritrarre soggetti naturali, fiori o paesaggi, perchè trovo che quella sensazione di velatura che riesce a regalare l’acquarello ben si adatta alla bellezza della natura.
I have always loved painting, and the technique I immediately felt was that of watercolor. Perhaps because it strongly reflects my character: delicate and sweet, but at the same time incisive. Compared to the oil painting that I used for different subjects, the watercolor technique is immediate and does not give the possibility of error (the oil color takes several days to dry and this allows to be able to intervene on the canvas several times, at different times. The watercolor being, as the word itself says, essentially formed by water, dries immediately, so you have to have very clear ideas and a steady hand!). Generally I love to portray natural subjects, flowers or landscapes, because I find that the sensation of veiling that can give the watercolor well adapts to the beauty of nature.
Ad inizio primavera, mentre mi stavo recando al lavoro, in un giardino di Milano mi sono imbattuta in una fioritura meravigliosa di magnolia. Erano così belle che tutta la gente che passava di lì non poteva evitare di fermarsi a fotografarla. Cosa che feci anche io! E’ proprio questo fiore dal rosa acceso e dalle sfumature violacee che mi ha ispirata!
At the beginning of spring, while I was on my way to work, in a garden in Milan I came across a wonderful magnolia bloom. They were so beautiful that all the people passing by could not avoid stopping to photograph it. What did I do too! It is precisely this flower with bright pink and purple hues that inspired me!
Abbiamo attorno a noi tutta la bellezza che desideriamo, e che la natura ci regala spontaneamente! Poi bastano un foglio di carta cotone, molto spesso e che si adatta ottimamente ad assorbire il carico di acqua e colore, pennelli a punta tonda, acquarelli di qualità e via!
We have all the beauty around us that we desire, and that nature spontaneously gives us! Then a sheet of cotton paper is enough, very often and that is perfectly suited to absorb the load of water and color, round-tipped brushes, quality watercolors and so on!
